Ira Green

Coach Green has a B.S. Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling.  He has an extensive coaching background having been a head high school baseball coach for six years in the Chicago area.  In Southern California he has been the hitting coach and worked with the hitters at Tustin High for six season.

Coach Green has coached at all levels of baseball from T-ball to Connie Mack ( 17 & 18 year olds.)  He began working privately with hitter and doing group hitting lessons in 1992 and founded The Baseball Academy in Orange County.  In 1995 he opened an indoor training facility to work with serious boys and girls with the desire to improve their game.

Players of all ages from age 9 to pros. have been helped by his coaching.  He has given instruction to thousands of area players over the years, many have gone on to do great things. Over 160 of Coach Green’s students have gone on to play Division 1 Baseball and about the same number have played in the pro ranks with 8 from his academy including his son Shawn Green going on to play in MLB.  The others include Aaron Boone of Villa Park H.S. (Reds, Yankees, Astros, Nationals, Indians, Marlins) Heath Bell of Tustin H.S. (Mets, Padres) Jayson Hardtke Leland H.S. (Mets, Cubs) Freddy Freeman El Modena H.S. (Braves) and Danny Espinosa Mater Dei H.S. ( Nationals, Angels.)
